As Israel upgraded its relatively old fleet of M60 tanks, one of its many upgrades was the Magach 6C based on the M60A3, one of the latest variants of the M60 family. While previous versions of these tanks included Blazer ERA packages and relatively old fire control systems, the Magach 6C incorporated thermal imaging for the gunner as well as an improved engine similar to that used in the latest Sho't tanks. The tank used the Gal Batash fire control system, which employed first generation thermals. The tank also received minor modifications like more smoke launchers and a laser warning receiver that notified the tank crew members if an enemy was pointing at them with a laser, be that a laser range-finder or a laser-guided anti-tank missile.
The Magach 6C was introduced in Update "Drone Age". Like most tanks of its family, this vehicle lacks the mobility or the protection to be used consistently in the role of a flanker or a brawler. Compared to its predecessor, it features a much more capable ERA package with up to 400 mm of protection against tandem shaped-charge warheads like anti-tank guided missiles or HEAT projectiles. It is still relatively competitive thanks mainly to the improved fire control system with first generation thermals for the gunner. Unfortunately, the extra armour will not protect against APFSDS projectiles that are very common in enemy tanks around its rank. A good idea with this vehicle is using it passively in a support role aiding teammates. Thanks to the good gun depression, it can use the cover of hills and other obstacles to hide the hull and only peak to shoot other enemy vehicles that are unaware of its presence.
